A FREE Computer Cards Class

I've posted things about Jessica Sprague's website before (like the One Buck Wednesdays). Wanted to let you know that she has another free class. Just head on over here & enter the code JSCTcardsFree2010.

And you really should check out the One Buck Wednesdays, especially if you're great at digital/computer stuff (which I, obviously, am not, since I just referred to all of this as "stuff" since I don't know what you would really call it).

Deals on Fresh Fruits and Vegetables

I LOVE the time of year coming up. I love fresh fruits & vegetables & I ABSOLUTELY LOVE pick-your-own places. Strawberries & early spring vegetables will be ready in about a week and a half.

A great place is Brock's Berries & Produce Farm. Mr. Brock is just as nice as he can be & he has a wonderful barn with a wrap-around porch & picnic tables & rocking chairs. I bought quite a bit of corn from him last year & it was probably the best corn I've ever had (it was a variety called Sweet Avalon). He will have blackberries during the summer too. That's something new to this area for pick-your-owns.

Another place for strawberries is Renston Homestead.

And don't forget the Pitt Co. Farmer's Market.

New $3 off any package of Huggies

Here's a link for a new $3/1 Huggies coupon. Thanks Hip2Save!

CVS 4/11-4/17

It's kind of slow at CVS this week. There's only one full-value ECB deal. Southern Savers does have Transaction ideas (with the order included) to get the most for your OOP while earning ECBs.

Dove Shampoo or Conditioner is on sale for $4.49 & you can get $4.49 in ECBs (also use a $1.50 off from RP 3/28 to make a "profit")

Dial Nutriskin Body Wash is FREE after ECBs & printable MQ

For more deal ideas visit Southern Savers.

Saturday, April 3, 2010

Rite Aid 4/4-4/10

Don't forget that it's a new month for Rite Aid Video Values & for SCRs. And don't forget to make sure you've entered all of your receipts from last month for SCRs & requested the check!

Items free or Less than .50 after SCRs & MQs:
Gilette Fusion Razor
Oral-B products

Other Deals:
Pampers Jumbo pack $5.99 after SCR & MQs

Head over to Southern Savers' website for more Rite Aid deals.

Rite Aid also has as Allergy Rewards (I know, I know-Allergy Rewards seems like an oxymoron-don't even get me started on how NOT rewarding they are after the last 24 hours that I've had!) Promo going on right now. You will get a $20 gift certificate to Rite Aid for every $75 you spend on Zyrtec & Benedryl Over-the-Counter Allergy medications. If you are already signed up online for SCRs then be sure to click on the link above (or this one) & all you have to do is enter your receipts just as you do for SCRs & after you have reached the $75 mark you will have earned your gift certificate.

Walgreens 4/4-4/10

Walgreens looks pretty slow this week (especially after the deals that I scored this afternoon-I will post about that later as more of an educational/if you're not already sold on couponing don't you want to now? post).

You will be able to get 3 toothbrushes for FREE and there are a couple of okay grocery deals.

If you'd like to check out what's happening at Walgreen's this week to see if there's an okay deal on anything that you absolutely need head over to Southern Savers' Walgreens post.

CVS 4/4-4/10

  • ECB Deals

There are a few good full-value ECB Deals this week:

$.99 ECBs wyb Stride Gum at .99 (you could also pick up 3, use the B2G1 MQ from 3/14 SS to get 3 for .33 each)

Complete Mulit-Purpose sol'n-12 oz. $8.99 ECBs

$2 ECBs wyb Colgate Total Adv. or Enamel Strength toothpaste at $2.99 (use the $1 off MQ from the April All You magazine to get it for FREE)

You could also get Natural Instincts or Loving Care Hair Colors for $.99

Head over to Southern Savers for more CVS deals and coupon matchups!

Snapfish Celebrates 10 Years this Month

There will be a new deal every day so head over to the Snapfish website to sign up for an e-mail or to check out the deal of the day (it's good for more than one day, but they come out with a new offer each day).

101 free prints from Shutterfly

More free prints from Shutterfly. This code is good through April 7.

Code: PRINTS101

You will have to pay shipping but that will only run you about $6 or so. $.06 a print sounds good to me-especially when I don't have to go anywhere but my computer & then my mailbox to get it done!

AC Moore Now Open

So I went into AC Moore over a week ago (I know, I'm really late on this) & I haven't been back in since because frankly I was pretty disappointed. Maybe they'll be having a "Grand Opening" later, but there were no spectacular sales or prices. The prices were comparable to Michael's. And they didn't really have anything that Michael's didn't.

I was hunting for some scrapbook paper & did have a 40% off coupon to Michael's so I headed over there after I left AC Moore. Michael's had a sign out front that said they would match any competitor's coupon + 10% so I guess that was a silver lining on my gloomy AC Moore cloud.

Does anyone have any experiences or AC Moore good news?

New York and Company $10 off coupon code

I LOVE NY & Co. They have some cute & comfy stuff & some of my favorite jewelry I've gotten from there.

The code 1068 will get you $10 off of ANY purchase. You will have to pay shipping but this can help you get a great deal.

Thanks Hip2Save!

Harris Teeter Triples Week-My Trip

Last week I went to HT to take advantage of triple coupons (remember-this will run through tomorrow so you still have time to head over there if you haven't been yet).

Here's what I got: (the numbers below reflect "how many purchased"/"price per individual item" (not the total for both))

Breakstone Sourcream-2/$1.99
Oscar Mayer Turkey Bacon-2/$3.49
Carnation Evaporated Milk-4/$1.35
McCormick Oregano -2/$2.69
Mahatma Rice-2/$1.69
Solo Cups-3.39
Lysol Wipes-2/3.29
Lysol All-Purpose spray-2/2.99
Lysol All-Purpose Dilutable Cleaner-2/3.65

Total BEFORE VIC savings & MQ: $53.75

Total paid (excluding sales tax) AFTER VIC savings & MQ: $9.73

Total savings: $44.02 or 82%

Something that I found helpful while I was preparing my trip was Southern Savers Triples List.

For the weekly deals with triple coupon match-ups go here.

CVS 3/28-4/3

There are a few good deals at CVS this week.

ECB deals:
Crest 3D advanced Vivid toothpaste or Oral-B Advanced toothbrush-$2.99 w/ $2 ECBs printed at the end of your receipt(limit 1). (Buy 2 Oral-B toothbrushes, use B1G1 free MQ from 3/7 PG insert & 1 $1 off MQ from 2/7 or 2/21 PG insert). Pay $1.99 OOP for both of these & receive $2 ECBs. You'll get 2 for FREE after ECBs.

Huggies diapers, jumbo packs or Pull-Ups-2/$17.98 w/ $5 ECBS (limit 1). Use the $3 off printable (if you printed these off previously-if you haven't, sorry, the print limit has been reached-I learned the hard way one time to go ahead & check the coupon websites as soon as they are reset or updated to see if there are coupons that aren't usually there, things I use all the time that aren't usually in the coupon inserts in newspapers, or high-value coupons) OR the $1.50 off MQ found in 3/21 SS. After ECBs it will make these $3.49-$4.99 per package.

Other good deals:
Betty Crocker Brownie Mix or Lindsay black olives-$.88 (there are usually MQ for Betty Crocker products in Sunday coupon inserts).

Hellman's/Kraft-mayo or parmesan cheese-2/$6

Gain 2x (40 loads)-$4.99 ($1 off RP 3/21 or 3/17 or $1.25 off Save-A-Lot Home Mailer)

For more deals on things you may need or coupon matchups visit Southern Savers.

Rite Aid 3/28-4/3

Kind of slow at RA this week. About the most decent deal would be Easter supplies & Claritin D that you can get for $14.99 (after $2 SCR & $2 printable coupon).

Head over to Southern Savers to see a complete list of coupon matchups for this week.

Free printable projects from HP

HP always has some good printables. Currently you can find some Easter/Spring items to print & craft with. Head over here and see if there's anything that you (or your children) would like. Maybe it will buy you five minutes to clip your coupons or browse through the ads!

PlaySkool, Fisher Price, and Toy Story deals at Toys R Us

If you head over to Hip2Save there are some good deals on some things at Toys R Us.

Cheap Board Games at Target

If your family likes to play board games, or if you know someone who does & you have a gift closet (which I HIGHLY recommend-saves you a ton of money, buying when you see a deal & storing for a later date-it's so convenient to just have something on hand for a last minute gift too!) then you may want to head over to Target this week.

You could get Monopoly, Connect Four, or Battleship for only $2 or $3 each.

Thanks Hip2Save!

Rite Aid 3/21-2/37

Rite Aid is another place that has a really good Huggies deal. Before you go be sure to head over & view ads to earn video credits (which earns you coupons).

Here's what I did today:

took my $5/$25 Video Value coupon
$2 off any package of Huggies Video Value coupon
$3 off any package of Huggies printable
$2/3 packages of Hershey, Reeses, or Cadbury candy
Get a free razor wyb Fusion cartridge pack PG 3/7

So, I got:
1 jumbo pack Huggies @ $8.99 (SCR $1)-these were on sale from the usual $11.99 (with coupons & the SCR I will have paid only $2.99 for this package of diapers!)
1 4 ct. Fusion cartridge pack ($14.99)
1 Fusion razor ($9.49)
1 can Fusion shave gel ($4.49-got this free wyb a cartridge pack)
3 big bags easter candy ($3.99 ea-on sale from $6.99 ea)

Total before coupons:
$40.44

Total OOP after coupons:
$23.95

Total after SCR:
$22.95

So I saved $17.49 or 43%. I could have saved more if I had broken it up to exactly $25 (to use the $5/$25 coupon) & if I had had the other printable that Southern Savers mentions (which I missed out on somehow).

Check out Southern Savers for more deals.

Walgreens 3/21-3/27

$5 RR wyb 3 Kimberly-Clark products
Huggies-$8.99 ea, use $3 off printable (makes it $4.33 after coupons & RR)
I had $9 in RR from last week (the toothpaste deal that I posted) so I ended up paying $27.94 OOP for 6 packages of diapers & received $10 RR to use on a future purchase. So it's like I paid $17.94 for 6 packages of diapers (or $2.99/package-if you figure out the $10 RR-it'd be $4.65/package that I actually paid out of pocket-that sure beats the $12/package they usually charge when they're not on sale & without a coupon!)

There are many other deals (none that I got as excited about as the Huggies deal) that you can check out (with coupon matchups) at Southern Savers.

Triple Coupon week at HT!!!!

This week, 3/24-3/30 will be TRIPLE COUPON WEEK at Harris Teeter. This means that any coupon $.98 or less will be tripled (up to 20 per day). This is how you can stock up on some FREE stuff (by free I mean all you pay is the tax).

To see a list of what will be free (based on the regular, non-sale price) go here on Southern Savers.

To see coupon matchups for the sale items at HT this week go here.

CVS 3/21-3/27

Some highlights at CVS this week:

Buy 1 Crest or Oral B Product at $3.99 & get @2 ECBs (limited to 1)
Use $2/1 from 2/7 PG makes it FREE

Buy 1 Pampers Jumbo Pack or Easy Ups at $8.97 & get $3 ECBs (limit 2)
$2/1 from 2/7 PG or 3/14 RP (makes it $3.97 after coupons & ECBs)

You can go here to view the full ad or visit Southern Savers or Money Saving Mom for coupon matchups & deal ideas.

3/21-3/27 Good Huggies Diaper Deals at Walgreens and Rite Aid

This week Rite Aid & Walgreens have good Huggies diaper deals going. If you got the $3 off a package printable now would be a good time to use it. I will post details later this afternoon.

CVS has a Pampers deal this week.

Saturday, March 20, 2010

Adding Coupons

Just an FYI-

If you currently get the N&O (or if you're interested in starting) you can get additional coupon inserts for just $1 each. If you currently get 2 papers at $2 each you could get 1 paper with 1 additional insert paying a total of $3 per week (saving yourself $1)!

And don't forget about the current discount for new subscriptions with N&O.

ANOTHER $3 off Huggies Printable Coupon

If you become a fan (or if you are a fan) of Huggies on Facebook they currently have a link in their status that will give you a $3 off Huggies printable (be sure to hit the back button to print a second coupon).

Thanks Hip2Save!

$3 off Huggies Printable coupon

Southern Savers just posted a great $3 off Huggies coupon & said there will be a good Huggies deal at Rite Aid & Walgreens next week & at CVS in 2 weeks.

I would advise going to Walgreens & getting the toothpaste that will be free after the RR b/c you can use the RR on the diapers next week so that should make for a CHEAP package.

Rite Aid 3/14-3/20

At RiteAid this week:

Gain Laundry Detergent, 50 oz-$4.99 ($1.25 off Gain Save-a-Lot home Mailer or $1 off PG 2/7)

Dawn Dishwashing Soap-.79 ($1 off Dawn Hand Renewal "Home Made Simple" mailer makes it FREE or .50 off in PG 3/7)

There's a Johnson & Johnson Rebate that you can make a profit on once you get the SCR back. Check out Southern Savers to see the details of how to make this profit plus many more deals & matchups.

CVS 3/14-3/20

CVS also has Purex Laundry Detergent B1G1 this week so it's really just where you're closest to I suppose (Walgreens also has this deal this week).

You can get $5 ECB wyb $15 Dove, Degree, Caress or Lever products (limited to one). Personally if deoderant or body wash is not free or with overage after ECBs or rebates & coupons I don't use my money on them (unless I'm completely out-but that's the great thing about stockpiling when you can get it for free or dirt cheap-you don't really run out!)

Check out Southern Savers for more deals & matchups.

Walgreens 3/14-3/20

There's still soime weekend shopping that you can do if you haven't gotten some Walgreens deals this week. Don't forget the good GP Rebate Deal that I posted about earlier-this is a good week to do it.

Some of the best deals:

$4 RR wyb Colgate toothpaste @ $3.99 (use a $1 off coupon found in SS 3/7 to get it free + overage)

Bic Brightliner Highlighters 5 pk .49 each w/ in-ad coupon (use th $1/2 MQ in SS 8/9/09 to make both free)

Purex 2x laundry Detergent B1G1 at $5.99 w/ in-ad coupon (use the $1 off Purex Natural Elements found through Southern Savers link below to make it $2 each-remember to push the back button to print a second coupon).

Southern Savers also has some allergy relief deals listed. To see the full list go to Southern Savers.

When I've ordered prints in the past, when they've had free deals (the ones I've taken advantage of were in January & were 100 free prints) I ended up paying between $6 & $7 in shipping, so this St. Patrick's Day deal ends up being about the same price ($.06/print).

Coupon Source-Box Tops

Another coupon source is at the Box Tops 4 Education website. Just click here & sign up to be able to print coupons.

And just a side note-when you purchase products that have Box Tops on them, don't throw them out, even if you don't have any school age children or children attending a school that participates in this program. You can save them & give them to a friend who has children attending a school that participates in Box Tops 4 Education. If you don't have any friends that could take them I'm sure you could stop by any school's front office & they would gladly take them!

Thanks Aubrey!

Pizza Hut Book It Program

I'm probably getting ready to tell my age but I remember when I was in school & Pizza Hut had this Book It! program. I enjoyed reading anyway, but being able to get your own pizza too-yum! So I was pretty excited again when I saw on Money Saving Mom that Pizza Hut still has this program. If you have a hard time getting your child to read this may be a good incentive!

All You Magazine

If you head on over to Money Saving Mom you'll be able to find a great deal on All You magazine which has some good, high value coupons. If you missed out on the deal through Southern Savers then you can still get it at a good price. Hurry though, this offer is only good through March 15th!

Good Deal on a Ham

I went to the Food Lion on Memorial today & discovered a great deal. Smithfield Hardwood Smoked, Vacuum Packed Shank Portion Hams (bone-in) had an MVP sticker on them & were then marked down for quick-sale. I ended up getting one that's almost 10 pounds for $6.57 (normally $16.02)! It's already fully cooked-you just need to heat it through which makes it even nicer!

This is going to make some cheap meals! There were still several left so head on over if you want to get one!

$100 coupon Book from PG

If you follow this link it gives step-by-step instructions on how to get a coupon book with $100 worth of Proctor & Gamble coupons in it. All you have to do is spend $50 between Feb 1st & April 15th. A lot of P&G things are some of the freebies that you can end up getting with RR, ECBs, & SCRs so it should be fairly easy to get to $50.

Package of diapers for $1

I had gotten a $5 off your next purchase certificate for RiteAid in the mail. This worked out perfectly for this week's Huggies deal.

RiteAid has Huggies diapers on sale for $8.99 this week. I picked up my package of diapers, handed over the $5 off certificate which brought the OOP down to $3.99 + tax. When I get the $3 SCR back I will have paid $1 + tax for those babies! (If I had had another $2 off printable like I had when I did my transaction a few days ago I would have paid $1.99 + tax OOP & would have ended up making $1 on the package of diapers when the rebate check came back-lesson to be learned-ALWAYS go ahead & print off diaper coupons-especially if it says "off a single package of diapers" b/c it will end up coming in handy when you're limited to just one rebate/ECB/RR were household/transaction).

Great Deal on GE Energy Star light bulbs at Target

I went in to Target today because supposedly I could have gotten some lightbulbs for free with a coupon. Well, I didn't find the lightbulbs that were on sale for a dollar but I did find a 7 pack of GE lightbulbs that I ended up paying $3.99 for! Can you beat that?

They were originally $9.99, marked down to 1/2 price, $4.98 & I had a $1 off coupon from a while back that expires at the end of this month. So I ended up getting 7 bulbs for $4!

There were still plenty left (they're at the back of the store) but with a deal like this you'll want to hurry over!
There is a $5 off $25 coupon at RiteAid. Go ahead & print it off to get a great deal.

*The link is difficult to follow so go to Southern Savers for instructions on how to get the $5/$25 coupon.

Thanks Southern Savers!

CVS-How to Earn & Use ECBs

So I've explained RiteAid; I better cover some other stores.

At CVS you have to sign up for an Extra Care Bucks card. On your first visit you pay the full price for the product you purchase the first trip that you make (excluding any MQs that you use). At the end of your receipt you will receive the ECB that you earned on the products purchased & these can be used on future purchases (& on anything in the store-there are no limits to what you can use the ECBs on).

**I try to "roll" my ECBs so that I never have to start over again (pay the full amount out of pocket again). This means that once I've earned ECBs I try to only buy items that I will use & that earn more ECBs for that week***

An example from this week's CVS ad (2/14-2/20):

Crest Pro-Health Enamel Toothpaste or Rinse is on sale for $3.50
You will receive $3.50 in ECBs wyb the toothpaste or rinse.
There was a $2 off MQ in 2/7 PG insert.
The limit on this is 2. I receive 2 papers so I have 2 coupons.

So if I were starting out this week with No ECBs I would buy any combination of 2 items for *$3.50 each, bringing the total to $7.
*I'd use 2 $2 off MQs, bringing the total down to $3.
*I would pay $3 + tax OOP.
*At the end of my receipt I would receive $7 in ECB ($3.50 for each item purchased).
By the time you add what I get back in ECBs & what I saved with MQs I will have gotten both items for the price of the tax only. In the couponing world that's called FREE.

Now I have $5 ECB in hand right now so let's take a look at the same transaction with that factor.
*2 $3.50 items total $7.
*Scan the 2 $2 MQ ($4 off), bringing the total down to $3
*Scan my $5 ECB, bringing the total to $2 over. So I would need to have another item (say the Aussie styler that's on sale this week for $2.99-throw in the MQ of $1 brings it down to $1.99)
**So my OOP would only be the sales tax. FREE again.
EXCEPT I would earn $9 in ECBs at the end of this transaction (2 $3.50 ECBs for the Crest & 1 $2 ECB for the styler).
-The reason I got the styler in this transaction is because I would just lose the $2 of ECBs if I didn't-I paid the money for that ECB up front so I certainly don't want to lose it.

*****Key to CVS-START SMALL!!***** You don't want to blow your budget earning ECBs. The first time just buy an item that earns it's full value in ECBs. Then use that ECB to purchase something slightly pricier that earns its total value in ECBs etc.

Always have them scan things in this order:
Store coupon of $/$$, MQ, ECBs.
For maximum savings, always use a coupon & get the item on sale.

CVS this week-Free Crest product

There is a good moneymaker at CVS this week. Crest ProHealth Rinse or Toothpaste is on sale for $3.50 this week & will earn you $3.50 in ECB's. There was a $2 off coupon in 2/7 Proctor & Gamble insert.

So, if you go this week & purchase one of these using the 2/7 coupon you will pay $1.50 (+ tax) OOP & then will receive $3.50 to use towards a future purchase.

To see other deals this week you can either view the weekly ad online at CVS.com or visit Southern Savers for more coupon match-ups.

And don't forget you can earn Double Bucks on any purchases this week.

Thanks Gloria!

Last Day for 75 Free Prints

Huggies Deal (2/14-2/20)

Yesterday I went to RiteAid to make a diaper purchase because:

Huggies jumbo packs are on sale for $8.99 this week

THEN you get a $3 SCR

AND I had a $2 off coupon that I had printed a while back & was saving for a great deal.

So when I get my SCR back for this month I will have ended up paying $3.99 (+ tax) for a package of diapers!

Have I convinced you to coupon yet?

Harris Teeter Super Doubles starting tomorrow

According to Jenny over at Southern Savers Harris Teeter will have a Super Doubles coupon week starting tomorrow morning at 7 am. What this means is that HT will double coupons with a face value of up to $1.98. That's going to make a lot of Free & Cheap things.

Will be PAID $3.16 for $45.94 worth of products at RiteAid

I went to RiteAid's Video Values where you watch ads & earn points for coupons. I was able to earn a $5 off of $20 coupon & a $1 off coupon for some dishwasher detergent that was on sale this past week.

I also had a $25 gift card that I got for transferring a prescription to RiteAid a couple of weeks ago.

Soooo...

Before coupons the total was $32.58 (this is the sales price of all of the items-the $42 worth is non-sale prices).

I used $6.95 worth of coupons. Bringing the amount down to$25.63.

I then used my $25 gift card leaving a balance of .63 (with tax I ended up paying $2.84 total).

I will get $6 in SCR's back at the end of the month, so if you take out what I paid out of pocket (including the tax) RiteAid will have paid me $3.16 to take their products home!

Not the greatest amount of savings in SCR's that I've ever received but it was stuff that we needed & it was on sale (& I had coupons of course!) so I went ahead & "bought" the items.

***Again, even though these Rebates for items I bought will be good for the whole month I waited until they were advertised in the weekly ad to maximize my savings-they always have the items marked down in price in addition to the rebate that you will get-saving you more money!***

Rite Aid Rebates

February starts a new month of Rebates at RiteAid. You can end up getting a lot of things for free after the rebate check is mailed to you (& when you use coupons).

If you are new to couponing or Rite Aid, here's how it works.

At the beginning of the month you can pick up a booklet that shows all of the rebates for that month. It also tells how many rebates for that particular item you can receive.

***I wait until I see it advertised in the weekly ad, even though the rebate is all month long. I have noticed it is on sale for a better price, on top of being able to receive the rebate (& using the coupon) than if you just got it at any random time during the month.***

1-You make your purchase (using a coupon).
2-If this is the first time that you have ever done a rebate then you will need to create an account. you will use this to log in each time you need to enter a receipt.
3-Go to the Single Check Rebate page (if you go to Rite Aid's homepage & scroll down, looking on the left hand side until you see "Single Check Rebate" under "In Our Stores"). You could mail the form located on the back of your Rebate booklet you picked up at the store but you get your rebate check faster if you do it online.
4-Enter the information that it asks you for off of the receipt. I go ahead & enter receipts the week I make a purchase to make sure that I do not forget any during the month. ****You can only receive one rebate check per month so wait until you are finished for the month to request your rebate check.***

CVS Double Bucks

Usually you can get 2% of whatever you spend at CVS printed off as Extra Care Bucks (ECBs). Just another perk of CVS.

But, from January 17 through March 15 you can earn DOUBLE BUCKS. Rather than the usual 2% you will earn 4% on what you spend. I'm all for that! You have to sign up for this though. It's really easy though.

1-Get a CVS Extra Care Card (you can sign in at CVS.com using the e-mail address that you give them).
2-Go to CVS's website to register your EC card to earn double rewards during this time period.

I would register mine if you're going to take advantage of the Huggies deal at CVS this week.

To view this week's CVS ad go here.

Keebler Townhouse Coupons

The Parade magazine which is delivered in Sunday papers is another source for coupons (usually only one per issue). This past Sunday's Parade is a good example. There was a coupon for $1 off of Keebler crackers.

What if I want More Coupons?

In the last post I spoke about coupons from the newspaper. But what if you find a really good deal & you want to get as many coupons as you can to stock up on an item without having to buy 5 or 6 papers.

There are printables & e-coupons.

Printables
Printables are just that-you print them off from your home computer. There are several websites that you can go to to get some printables. There are links on the side. You will have to install a coupon printer activator.

After you print the first copy you can usually hit the "back" button to print a second copy of the coupon.

I would recommend changing your printer settings to print in black only & a quick print to help you save on ink.

ECoupons
These links will take you to websites where you can load coupons onto your shopper card. This way you could use 2 coupons on an item; one paper coupon & one e-coupon.

News & Observer Subscription Discount Code

For those of us located in North Carolina the following code will help save you some money (& the trouble of stopping at newsstand to get a paper).

**This is only good on new subscriptions-you can not apply this discount code to an existing subscription**

CODE: IHNEED30

This will give you a 30% discount on your Sunday paper, so you will end up getting it for $1.49/week (this is Sunday only-I wouldn't bother getting it for the whole week-if you're really only wanting coupons why pay for the days you would get them?)

The N&O Customer Service number is 1-800-522-4205.

****Make sure that they deliver to your area. This code does not apply to papers that they have to mail.

***This code will only last as long as the number of weeks that you choose. So if you only pay for 13 weeks up front, you'll only get it this cheap for 13 weeks & after that you can ask for a N&O subscribee discount rate of 20%.

So:
1-Call before Jan. 31st (that's when this code expires) & ask if they deliver to your area. If they do:
2-Tell them that you have a discount code
3-They'll set up your account & you'll start enjoying your coupons-delivered right to your front door.

I would recommend getting the News & Observer which is the State's paper rather than the local paper. It provides a ton more coupons and higher dollar coupons for the same price you'd probably pay for your local paper with this discount.

Hope this helps

There's a ton of couponing info out there. When I first started couponing a few months ago it was pretty overwhelming trying to absorb all of the information at once. I'm starting this blog in the hopes that it will help answer any questions you may have about using coupons & saving money.

Please feel free to e-mail me with any questions. I'd love to help. And don't worry if you don't get it all at once-you will before too long!
